The brief

Restaurants rely on their website to do three jobs: set the mood, show the menu and get people booked in. Most templates either look generic or make menus painful to update. I wanted to build a Framer template for restaurants and wine bars that feels warm and high-end from the first second, and that a busy owner could keep up to date without a developer. The goal was an elegant, multi-page site with a video hero, a menu that manages itself through the CMS, event pages and simple booking requests.

What I built

An eight-page Framer template in ivory and deep burgundy, with Instrument Serif headlines and slow, cinematic motion. The home page opens on a full-screen video of a candlelit table, with a floating navigation and blur-in headlines, then moves through the restaurant's story, signature dishes, a press quote, upcoming events and private dining. The menu runs entirely on the CMS. Each dish has a course, price and dietary tags, and it lands in the right section of the menu automatically. Events get their own pages with formatted dates and booking buttons, and there are working forms for reservations and private dining enquiries. It's all built with native Framer features, so there's no code anywhere. Colours and type are shared styles, buttons, navigation and footer are reusable components, and every page is responsive on desktop, tablet and phone. I also set up SEO across the site, including page titles, descriptions, share images, alt text and a favicon.
